Interesting development in the sustainability world which is starting to get more mainstream attention. A chap named Marcin Jakubowski had difficulty making ends meet as an farmer. A tale unfortunately all too common today for farmers. The Open Source Ecology network, a network of farmers, engineers, and supporters, was the result. Part of the network is the Global Village Construction Set. On the website this is defined as:
“The Global Village Construction Set (GVCS) is an open technological platform that allows for the easy fabrication of the 50 different Industrial Machines that it takes to build a small civilization with modern comforts.”
